Situated close to Florence, home to the renowned Medici family and birthplace of Renaissance art. “Podere Torre Mozza” is the perfect hideaway. . . . .
Descending down a winding tree-lined lane you will be pleasantly surprised to find this charming 15th century rambling stone farmhouse, perched majestically amid chestnut woods and olive groves, it’s beauty further enhanced by layers of stone terracing giving shady retreats for al fresco dining under vine-covered pergolas.
Your anglo-italian hosts offer a selection of six self-catering apartments for 2 to 8 persons. The apartments are located on either the first or second floor within the farmhouse, lovingly restored in keeping with local traditions.
At Torre Mozza special itineraries for those interested in wine-tasting, art courses, cookery or mind and body workshops or if you would like to celebrate a special event like an intimate wedding or special anniversary your hosts will be only too happy to take care of arrangements.
A pretty arched entrance leads into a welcoming reception area and covered loggia which catches the early morning sun, and where breakfast and dinner are served, using fresh produce from our vegetable garden.
In the warm and cosy atmosphere of the lounge with it’s log fireplace for those cooler evenings, guests can order an aperitivo from our bar or curl up with a good book from the small library.
Podere Torre Mozza has it’s own antique olive press. During late November/early December you can help with the olive harvest, learn about ancient methods of processing the olives and taste freshly pressed olive oil. As well as olive oil, other home-grown produce and local wines can be purchased.
Podere Torre Mozza is one of Tuscany's best kept secrets and your hosts would like to share these simple pleasures with you and will endeavour to make your stay in Tuscany very special.
